Background
After a presentation to the Rotary Club of Wheelers Hill members outlining the aims of the Foundation and the current scholarships on offer, a decision was made by the Club to fund two scholarships for students finding difficulty in paying fees and charges for training.
Scholarship Funding
Two (2) $500 scholarships will be awarded to eligible students undertaking a course at TAFE.
The scholarships will commence in 2012
Eligibility
Applications made on the Rotary Club of Wheelers Hill Scholarship Application Form, available on the Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation website at www.CarolineChisholm.org.au or from the Executive Officer at ccef@chisholm.edu.au will be accepted from students who meet one of the following criteria:
Economic barriers to further study
Individual or family adversity
Excessive relocation or changes of school
Dislocation as a refugee
and are:
Resident in Wheelers Hill or surrounding area
Holders of a Low Income Card are encouraged to apply.
Applicants must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, hold a permanent humanitarian visa, or with the exception of degrees, be eligible for a Government subsidised place
NOTE: It is strongly advised that applicants indicate clearly on the Application Form any disadvantages to further study, which may include current or lifetime experiences.
