Scholarship Funding

The Rotary Club of Ferntree Gully have memorialized past member Peter Wylie in the form of a scholarship for an apprentice or trainee who is finding difficulty in paying fees and materials charges. 

A $500 scholarship will be awarded to an eligible student undertaking a course at Chisholm Institute. The scholarship will commence in 2012.


Eligibility

Applications made on the Peter Wylie Memorial Scholarship Application Form, available below or from the Executive Officer - ccef@chisholm.edu.au - will be accepted from students who meet a number of the following criteria:

 Economic barriers to further study
 Individual or family adversity
 Excessive relocation or changes of school
 Dislocation as a refugee

and are:

 Resident in the City of Knox
 Apprentice or trainee undertaking training 

Applicants must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, hold a permanent humanitarian visa or with the exception of degrees, be eligible for a government subsidised place.

Holders of a Low Income Card are encouraged to apply.

NOTE: It is strongly advised that applicants indicate clearly on the Application Form any disadvantages to further study, which may include current or lifetime experiences.
