Scholarship/Bursary Funding
The owners of Montalto Restaurant initiated a partnership with Chisholm Institute, Mornington Peninsula campus to host a Degustation Dinner, the proceeds of which were to be used specifically for Mornington Peninsula residents undertaking hospitality studies at Chisholm Institute.
In 2012 there is one (1) scholarship of $1,000 and two (2) bursaries of $500 available for eligible hospitality students .
Funding is intended for –
tuition and materials fees
equipment and other study support
Eligibility
Applications made on the Montalto Scholarship/Bursary Application Form, available below or from the Executive Officer, ccef@chisholm.edu.au, will be accepted from any Mornington Peninsula resident wishing to apply who meets one or more of the following requirements:
enrolling or continuing training in Certificates II & III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) and Event Management at Chisholm Institute
experiencing difficulty paying for fees or materials
individual or family adversity
excessive relocation or changes of school
Applicants must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, hold a permanent humanitarian visa or with the exception of degrees, be eligible for a government subsidised place.
Holders of a Low Income Card are encouraged to apply.
NOTE: It is strongly advised that applicants indicate clearly on the Application Form any disadvantages to further study, which may include current or lifetime experiences.
