Scholarship details
Two (2) $1,000 scholarships are available to Mornington Peninsula residents undertaking studies at the Mornington Peninsula campus of Chisholm Institute.
Applicants may be a current student in a preparatory program, a student who has completed the first year of a vocational program, a student who wishes to undertake further study in an additional complementary qualification or an exiting secondary student who meets the selection criteria.
Scholarship Funding
Two scholarships of $1,000 are offered for studies commencing or continuing in 2012. Funding is intended for –
tuition fees
materials fees
equipment
books
other study support approved by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees
travel assistance to and from the Institute where applicable
Eligibility
Applications must be made on the Matthew Neesham Scholarship Application Form and will be accepted from those who meet one or more of the following basic criteria:
Individual or family adversity
Excessive relocation or changes of school
Dislocation as a refugee
Economic barriers to further study
and are:
A Mornington Peninsula resident
Enrolling in vocational training
An Australian citizen, permanent resident, hold a permanent humanitarian visa or with the exception of degrees, be eligible for a government subsidised place.
Holders of a Low Income Card are encouraged to apply.
NOTE: It is strongly advised that applicants indicate clearly on the Application Form any disadvantages to further study, which may include current or lifetime experiences.
