Scholarship Funding 

Three (3) scholarships of $1,000 (pre-apprentice training) are available to eligible students resident in Dandenong who are undertaking vocational studies at Chisholm Institute.

The scholarships are available for the 2012 academic year.

Eligibility

Applications made on the Grocon & VicUrban Scholarship Application Form, available below or from the Executive Officer at ccef@chisholm.edu.au will be accepted from current or prospective eligible students.

The applicant must be:

 A resident of Dandenong
 An Australian citizen, permanent resident, hold a permanent humanitarian visa or with the exception of degrees, be eligible for a government subsidised place

and meet several of the following criteria:

 Individual or family adversity
 Excessive relocation or changes of school
 Dislocation as a refugee
 Economic barriers to further study
 Be attending a Chisholm Institute campus
 Be undertaking vocational studies, with preference given to those undertaking study in the building & construction, engineering, renewable energy, electrical and electronics, nursing and hospitality industries
 Be undertaking pre-apprenticeships & VCAL, with preference given to those studying in the building & construction, nursing, hair & beauty, horticulture, plumbing and automotive industries

Low income earners, including holders of pension or health care cards are encouraged to apply.

NOTE: It is strongly advised that applicants indicate clearly on the Application Form any barriers to further study, which may include current or lifetime experiences.
