Scholarship Funding
FGB Natural Products has provided funding of $1,000 for a scholarship for eligible Indigenous students undertaking vocational studies in the 2012 academic year
Funding is intended for –
tuition fees
materials fees
equipment
other study support approved by the Board of Trustees
travel assistance to and from the Institute where applicable
Concession on fees will still be available for an eligible student.
Eligibility
Applications made on the FGB Natural Products Scholarship Application Form will be accepted from any person who meets the following eligibility requirements:
Indigenous background (Aboriginality papers required or supporting documentation from local community or Aboriginal organisations)
Individual or family adversity
Excessive relocation or changes of school
Economic barriers to further study
Definition - Indigenous
The candidate must be of either Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, with papers and/or supporting documentation indicating acceptance by the local Indigenous community as to their Aboriginality status.
NOTE: It is strongly advised that applicants indicate clearly on the Application Form any disadvantages to further study, which may include current or lifetime experiences.
