In 2009 Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation Christmas cards were sold to raise funds for a scholarship. The cards bore the message that $5.00 had been donated on the receiver’s behalf and that all proceeds would be put towards the scholarship. By Christmas 2009 a total of 273 cards had been sold resulting in a scholarship amount of $1,365.

Eligibility

This award will be available to students on all campuses of Chisholm Institute undertaking studies in any course.

Applications made on the Caroline Chisholm Education Foundation Christmas 2009 Scholarship Application Form, available on the Foundation website at www.CarolineChisholm.org.au or via email from the Executive Officer of the Foundation will be accepted from existing or prospective students who meet one or more of the following requirements:

 Individual or family adversity
 Dislocation as a refugee
 Economic barriers to further study
 Existing or prospective students attending a course at Chisholm Institute

Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold a permanent humanitarian visa

Holders of a Low Income Card are encouraged to apply

NOTE: It is strongly advised that applicants indicate clearly on the Application Form any disadvantages to further study, which may include current or lifetime experiences.
