Scholarship Funding

In accordance with Immigration Regulations, several companies paid amounts representing 2% of their organisation’s payroll to be applied as funding for Industry Based Training.  It was specifically requested that these contributions be used for students enrolling in studies in the construction industry, in particular the areas of building, construction and plumbing.

Two (2) scholarships of $1,000 and one (1) scholarship of $785 are available for eligible students in 2012.

Funding is intended for –

 tuition and materials fees
 equipment and other study support 

Eligibility

Applications made on the Building/Construction Scholarship Application Form available below or from the Executive Officer - ccef@chisholm.edu.au - will be accepted on behalf of any student wishing to apply who meets several of the following requirements:

 seeking entry or continuing training in building, construction or associated courses at Chisholm Institute
 experiencing difficulty paying for fees or materials
 individual or family adversity
 excessive relocation or changes of school

Applicants must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or hold a permanent humanitarian visa

NOTE:   It is strongly advised that applicants indicate clearly on the Application Form any disadvantages to further study, which may include current or lifetime experiences.
